I was so excited to see Fishbone Cinderella by Elizabeth Lim as an August option. It was one of the only August new releases that I knew I had to get my hands on.

This book takes a fairy tale and turns it into a "story of mothers and daughters, the scars they inherit and the magic that binds them, [it] is a tender and enchanting exploration of what it means, at last, to be seen." (Penguin Random House) I can't wait to read this one!

I have been loving collecting the BOTM Centennial Editions for my Classics collection. This month, In Cold Blood by Truman Capote made its way to me. It's described as the first non-fiction novel and tells the story of a real murder investigation in the 1960's. I haven't previously read this Classic, but the murder mystery/true crime plotline quickly drew me in. I also read that Harper Lee heavily assisted Capote in his research, with immediately increased my curiosity!
